TableTop Episode 5: Munchkin

This week on TableTop Wil Wheaton is joined by Sandeep Parikh and Felicia Day (bet that got your attention) to bring you a close look at what has long been one of my all time favourite games. Its time to kick down the door and face the monster in Munchkin!
To you to get to grips with this fantastic card game, Wil has roped in a rather special guest. Everybody welcome to TableTop the game's creator, the legendary Steve Jackson!

Munchkin is brilliant parody of all those standard fantasy role playing games you might be used to in which players form alliances and subsequently back stab one another in a race to get to level 10.
Each of the players takes it in turn to kick down a door. Behind the door could be something useful, or there could be a fearsome monster guarding a treasure. As you defeat monsters you will go up levels, bribing other players with promises of a share in the treasure to help you out, all the while looking for the best chance to screw them over.

Another interesting game. Did BOW get any luck yet in getting to have a game with Will Wheaton? Or is too much of a superstar? 🙂
Ah such an awesome episode. Such a fun game that brings back memories of proper old school RP sessions in a friends garage with dim lighting, pringles and plenty of tiles 🙂 A great warm up game.
Obviously made better by Felicia Day being in the episode lol. She can dress up in leather with a cloak and duel swords any day lol.

Great episode! Munchkin gets busted out occasionally in my group. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever won. Not ruthless enough I suppose.
Will just convinced me and my friend to invest in cthulhu edition 🙂
