The Acolyte of Ethers Swims Out of Deep Wars
June 1, 2012 by dracs
AntiMatter Games have previewed the new sculpt for the Acolyte of Ethers on a their Facebook, a miniatures which will be appearing in the Ancients of Atalán starter set.
I believe the word you are now looking for is wow.
This is a really nice, clean sculpt which captures the sense of this mini floating in the water really well. I cannot wait to see if all the other minis which are being produced for Deep Wars will be able to match this level of quality.
Any one fancy a swim?

Thats defenetly great looking sculpt with both style and detail. I also give plus from that sleek and slender look.
Not much to say about this… except IT’S SUPER AWESOME!!! That’s a really sleek model.
Humanoid, but with a very slim form and webbed feet – a great blend of adaptations needed for tool use and also aquatic life. Perfect for an advanced undersea civilisation, plus I love the little hi-tech details…like that raygun. 😉
Keeping a close eye on Deep Wars, it’s coming together nicely and this mini’s making quite the impression amongst my gaming friends!
Very nice.
With a little modding this could be used as a space suit.
I’ve been unsure for a while now, is Deep Wars fantasy or sci-fi?
I appreciate the support DeepWars has gotten from the Beasts of War site. To answer the general question about what type of game this is, the answer is closer to Victorian Sci-Fi than fantasy, although there are many fantasy elements. There is plenty of fluff written but that will have to come out as the rulebook gets done more. The game is more sci-fi than the original ShadowSea but that is due to the game being entirely underwater, a theme that requires a higher technology level for dive suits and underwater weapons.
I won’t be playing or collecting Deep Wars, due to the over abundance of games and models in need of sorting out, but I say that with deep regret!
Love what you are doing and hope the project goes well. From what I have seen it jolly well deserves success.
Must look away, temptation beckons…must look away…google “Deep Wars”… drool
