Kingdom Death Partake in an Experiment of Death!
June 1, 2012 by dracs
Kingdom Death, makers of an absolutely amazing selection of beautiful and disturbing sculpts , have released a new direction in their miniature production they are calling the Experiment of Death.
The Experiment of Death is a new set which brings you two of Kingdom Death's most popular minis, the Pinup Twilight Knight and, Warren's favourite, the Wet Nurse! Only now they are both produced in PVC Plastic rather than resin.
Being plastic, these brilliant sculpts unfortunately suffer a 3% reduction in scale, but as you can see that hasn't impacted much on their quality.
In the Experiment of Death box you will find.
- Wet Nurse PVC plastic figure
- Pinup Twilight Knight PVC figure
- 2 x Brand New double sided art cards
- 1 x 30mm plastic base
The success of this box set may lead to the final boxed game minis being produced in this manner and while this initial run is limited to 180 units (129 at time of writing this), its success may mean that we could see it becoming more readily available in the future.
However, if you are still hankering for the beautiful resin creations of the twisted minds of Kingdom Death than you may like to check out some of these newer runs that are now available.
There are also Encore runs of two of Kingdom Death's most popular recent minis, the Mother and the Lion Knight.
What are you waiting for? If you want the Experiment of Death to succeed you better hurry over to the Kingdom Death Shop to pick up your copy now! Better hurry, they're disappearing fast.

Those have great looking sculpts. Name Pinup Survivor fits that one model since thats what that looks like. Pinup model. Forsaker looks like very though demon knight, those chicks that are with Lion Knight are nice touch and Mother is actually interesting idea.
The Forsaker is the one I like the most. I tend to steer clear of pinup minis across the board. Nothing against KD, just don’t like the idea of pinups.
PVC plastic…I think that’s what they use for the Warmahordes plastics so only superglue will work on those kits. Still, the detail doesn’t seem to have suffered for the use of a new material, they’re just as twisted as ever 😉 plus for the mass production boxed game that’s planned it’ll be a less brittle material so more suited to handling than pure display (why you’d do either with the Wet Nurse is beyond me though). Of the new releases, my favourite is the Forsaker – I love the skeletal theme throughout his armour and weaponry, especially the Skeletor-like cackle… Read more »
A thixotropic solvent based glue should work on PVC miniatures, however you can pretty much only get it in industrial strength formula’s… not really suitable for mini’s. Now if some industrious company actually went and made one they could make a killing!!!
Other than Corvus Belli’s Infinity I think that Kingdom Death have some of the most utterly stunning sculpts on the market, they’re just oozing detail and look utterly jaw dropping from every angle.
Been holding back until now but I’m just too enthused as to what the future may hold for this talented development studio, with a proper backing I think they could go really far!
Love these figs, working on the White Speaker pinup atm 🙂
Bloody luvverly!!! Forsaker & Pinup Survivor ordered. Now comes the daily checking of the mailbox….. are they here yet? …………. are they here yet?…………. Still waiting for “The Scribe” model though.
