Mantic Games Welcome Kings & Legends?
June 1, 2012 by brennon
As most of you will know the Mantic Kickstarter campaign for Kings of War is doing extremely well. It's already passed the $50,000 mark and looks set to rise even more. So with extra money, what are they planning?
Well, once they hit $65,000 there is the possibility of a Kings & Legends supplement for the Kings of War game. This book will contain rules for all new Special Heroes working with their Warmaster and Eternal Warrior Pledge Level. You will then have great rules for the tabletop and background on each of these warriors of legend.
On top of that they have already broken the barrier to creating Werewolves and an Orc Chariot/Fight Wagon and are even looking to produce plastic Trolls and even Mummies!
Have you been backing the Kings of War Kickstarter?

These are perfect with Wimbledon around the corner.
Racket in one hand, fist pump with the other.
Serena’s outfit gets more outlandish each year.
Quiet please, first game first set.
Dwarf Hero to serve.
Mantic’s answer to Blood Bowl could be Death Courts perhaps? lol
They already have ‘Ground Ball’ if the Dwarf fluff is to be believed lol. So maybe Death Court isn’t too far away 😉
BoW Ben
I know dwarves only having short legs but surely there is enough clearance?
Oh… I see what you mean Ben.
You were going on about Blood Links the other day…there should be a bloody version of every sport, right up to Extremely Impolite Croquet! 🙂
Croquet played with thunder hammers can get very nasty!
Those poor little hedgehogs! 🙁
For those who haven’t seen, it’s TROLLS along with these special king figures for the next goal! Jump over to Kickstarter to help out.
As I’ve mentioned on other posts about kickstarters. Doesn’t anyone think it a bit off that the company is asking for hand outs to expand their range, instead of risking some investment? I mean, it really is great that they are expanding, and they always make great product, but using donations to make profit just seems wrong to me.
I guess technically your just investing because you get a return, I don’t know, still seems odd to me. But to each his own, maybe I’m just crazy.
You sort of answered it yourself.
Normally you would have to get some sort of finances to back the project.
It could be sourced from previous profits ploughed back into developing new products or services
This is no more than an informal shares system. If you forget the stock exchange, wher existing shares are traded, stocks and shares may be issued to raise capitol for a specific venture.
The share is basically a piece of paper saying how much investment you have made.
