Thomarillion Bring the Peace of Buddha to the Tabletop
May 31, 2012 by dracs
Thomarillion have brought out some new statues to decorate your battlefield with, including one of Buddha to allow to create a small area of serenity on the battlefield.
This sculpture will allow you to create a good Eastern feel board, good for Bushido or even a Yu Jing themed gaming table.
Thomarillion have two other statues beside this.
These will be great to decorate your fortresses or dungeons and could be treated as objectives or having magical properties.
Does anyone think they need to spruce up their battlefield with some spiffy statues?
If ever you’re having a hard time painting and you have a need for this type of terrain, paint a statue. Just being able to deluge a mini in metallics (for the Buddha) or drybrushed stone and still having it look good because it’s supposed to look that way…really clears the mind of detail fatigue.
Then you get bored with constant drybrushing and start hungering for a proper painting project – the circle completes… 😉
My fingers seriously hurt after drybrushing an entire set of ruins…I don’t recommend painting terrain to anyone. Palm it off to someone else to do and get back to painting your miniatures ;).
I jest of course lol, some terrain is actually pretty awesome to paint. Have had a lot of fun with little objective markers and dioramas for Warhammer/Mordheim in the past.

depending on price I can see some Bushido fun could be had.
I never thought about that. Good point @trebrmills 🙂
So you don’t read the articles then…
=(
just looks at the pretty pictures 🙂
I want that last one for my garden! Life-size, with running water in a shade under trees!
I think I’ll get one just so I can copy it in 1:1.
