“Tanks” for the new video John… get it!
December 31, 2010 by beerogre
Fooled you all... it's not really Flames of War!
But, many people have been asking what John has been up to. Well he's been tinkering with his tank!
If you're a fan of the historical aspects of Flames of War, or you just miss John's enthusiasm for his favourite subject... big tanks!
Then why not take a look at his solo YouTube project...
BoW Andy
That is sooo freak’n awsome….does the gun still work and do u ever just …well for lack of a better term… blow shit up? If not why not, if u can get that on a ferry i can give u a few of my ex’s adresses, trust me they are very deserving of being blown away. Neways that is awsome and now I want 1.
Business in the front, party in the back.
I don’t like tanks… But this I like ! Thank you, John, for reminding us what true passion sounds like.
I have been wondering! Is John no longer part of BoW?
I’d like to know as well! It would almost seem so…
Damn! i would love to arrive at games day in a Sherman… Really cool stuff… and extra credit for using the term “perfectly decent”
Sad thing is the US could of had the T34 but the Army said that they didnt need “Fast” tanks so the inventor (I forget his name) moved to Russia and sold it to the Soviets as well as his other invention sloped armor which could of saved many American, British, and Commonwealth troops
OT: good video John, now we all know why you like the Guard
Christie was his name. Wouldn’t worry too much. No one could work with him. Amazed Stalin didn’t have him shot on principle.
Amour world… Forge world…. HOLY **** john lyons now works for GW leading their new tank based Game… the shipping on these items is going to be $$$$$
JK
They were also sometimes called Ronsons after the cigarette lighters because the Ronson slogan was “Lights the first time every time.”
Let me just start by saying:
John owns a Tank?!??
Awesome.
Nice tank 😀 Nice one John
the tank looks really good.
I think the cameraman got a text at 10:35 🙂
Sweet! Nice video. Thanks for showing us the tank. I look forward to hearing more about tanks in this series.
I’ve been waiting for one of these vids for ages since you mentioned it in a vid back in the youtube days. Bloody awesome john.
You and me both.
Great to see the inside of of it! I’m heading down to the Bovington tank museum in 2011 to check out their Tiger tank!
Utterly wonderful.
I would love to take part in a project like that. Of course I’d probably need to learn some actually useful hands on metal working skills first.
Would have been 10 times cooler if it were StuG III G!
In any event, it’s something I would love to do myself if time and finances allowed. Although I would like to start off small with something like a Kubelwagon or a Kettenkrad.
Has John left BoW then? Or is this a side project?
To quote Jezza Clarkson, “How did they get so little power out of such a big engine?”
Enquirnine minds need to know.
IS John leaving BoW? Or is he just off playing with his tank? The lucky luchy b…!
John,
3 questions,
1) Does the turret on the Sherman have the abilty to elevate or is it fixed?
2) Did the Sherman outweigh the Stuart in terms of ability?
3) Where do you buy a tank? Harrods?
Very good video John.
