Firestorm Armada Gets New Rulebook & Dystopian Wars Expands!

The infinite skies and our own Earth can expect to hear the rumbling weaponry of new content for both Dystopian Wars and Firestorm Armada from Spartan Games. Check out the two new books and some new models...
First up is the new hardback rulebook for Firestorm Armada. The cover looks utterly amazing and very similar to a certain something from Mass Effect. If you're a fan of Sci-Fi ship battles this will be a must as it collects together all the information you need to fight interstellar wars.
The Zenian League also expands with a whole host of ships ready to take on your enemies. You can Advance Order these from the Spartan Games Online Store.
As well as that there is the Hurricane Season Dystopian Wars expansion. This ties together an epic struggle between the Federated States and the Empire of the Blazing Sun while also tying in the other factions as supporters to either side. As well as this all rules for the Covenant of Antarctica are included in hardback form and rules for Amphibious vehicles and combat!
Here are some of the renders for the upcoming Amphibious vehicles allowing you to wage war in a very different way and opening up options for prospective steampunk generals. The sloped forward Zenian hulls give a great sense of them being like swords thrusting into an enemy and the carrier stands out for me – with those triple decks it looks a bit like SDF-1 from Macross. The landing barge is a very clever design using modular command sections instead of making dedicated ships for each faction for specific scenarios that might take up more design time than they’re worth – it uses the FSA paddle wheels on the side but they aren’t prominent and so for other factions you could just paint them as armoured portholes or other… Read more »
