Even Crocodile Dundee Would Have Trouble with this BaneBeast

Yes that's right, its BaneBeast time again from Maelstrom Games. Check out the mighty looking Kadamatar, Ancient Devourer and then possibly think twice about throwing that pet alligator down the toilet...
Once again the sculpt is very close to the concept art and really serves to bring it to life. Maelstrom always do well when crafting their beasts and I don't think this is an exception. Nice scale detail, good posing and a jaw full of razor sharp teeth if I say otherwise!
A perfect mount perhaps for a Lizardman tribal leader?
What do you think of the Ancient Devourer?

Maelstorm Games has done it again. Another well sculpted and well detailed model from them.
UGH !
Please… The details are all wrong. Crocodilians can’t turn their heads and tails like that, it’s physically impossible… And the whole thing looks like it’s made from bricks, not squamous scales. There’s no larger, smoother, whiter belly scales either, apparently !
It’s not the first time, either. Their last crocodile man was just like that.
I don’t know if it’s the concept artist or the sculptor, but someone screwed up.
BoW Romain
Nicely sculpted and the crest looks better on the model than in the drawing.
Not my bag as it reminds me too much of the special effects they used to do in movies,
Baby croc with something stuck on to make a monster type thing lol
Well sculpted but I agree with Romain very unrealistic
looks good but i do sort of agree with Romain plus crocodile dundee reference.
This reminds me of a movie I seen.

I like it. It reminds me of the 1960’s movie The Lost World.
The FX guys glued horns and frills to crocodiles and iguanas and made them fight each other.
Ignorance of anatomy is bliss – this is no mere crocodile but a big gribbly monster capable of terrorizing populations – I think it can definitely move with a wider range than a regular saltwater predator. I like this, while the scales are the same as the last croc-themed sculpt (same sculptor) it isn’t on two legs with a seam down the belly so it looks like a man in a suit. Being on four legs makes this a beast, and a fierce looking one that’s true to the art at that. The frill is even more detailed too with… Read more »
