A Serpentine Sci-Fi Shoulder Pad from Puppets War
May 1, 2012 by brennon
Continuing their range of Shoulder Pad teases here is the latest one from Puppets War. This time its rather serpentine and slithery for your Sci-Fi Soldiers...
With the range growing as it is, you could have squads allied to the differing Gods? One unit of assault troops allied with the winged Horus, a group of more stealthy individuals with these serpentine ones. The stalwart defenders or heavy weapon troops with the bull headed ones?
The mix and match should be pretty awesome!
Have to say these new ranges are certainly posing new ideas and concepts away from the big sellers and more towards the smaller gamer, that cannot be all that bad.
Perfect for someone with a Sons of Medusa – Army. 🙂
I can see them all (the Egypt themed heads and all) being a different unit for a chaos army. Each devoted to one of the gods.
IRON SNAKES!!!
The beasty themed heads would make a nice Gran Bretan themed army
I love the subtle touches that tie this pad to its corresponding head – you’ve got the cobra hood being a frill round the top and even the suggestion of a snake’s tongue to break up the smooth area where transfers might normally go.
This range now lets you build full Stargate Jaffa Marines whereas before you only had the heads. It would still be Grey Knights Counting As Thousand Sons (because halberds are a bit like the staff weapons) but it would be very cool. Hats off to Puppets War for this line.
