We all knew this was going to happen. After all with a new paint range the other book is good as dead.
True, but if its anything like the last one, I’ll at least be considering whether to get one or not. Does anyone know if this has new techniques in, or is it a re-hash of the old one for the new paint system?
Actually I believe this book was completed months before any new paints, therefore will be using the old pots. I LOVE v1 and consistently refer to it. V1 absolutely improved my skills, specifically my weathering and airbrushing techniques. Rust, mud, oil spills, and paint chipping, the realism that can be achieved is fantastic. I am chomping at the bit to get my hand on this one, ordering this and monterous arcanum in the next couple of days.
I already got the book at the Forge World Open Day. I talked to a few of the FW painters there and some hadn’t even seen the new paints, so it does indeed still use the previous paintrange, and even some older or different things such as inks and oil paints. That said, the effects presented can be made equally well with the new paints.
