AntiMatter Preview a Beauty of the Deep

AntiMatter have put up a selection of new Deep Wars artwork on their Facebook, including this beautiful addition to the Ancients of Atalan.
This blue skinned beauty is the Elementalist of Atalan. Immune to both the cold of the abyssal depths and the heat of the undersea volcanic vents, she is definitely tougher than she looks.
AntiMatter have also put up a WIP sketch for a new piece of underwater terrain.
Apparently these terrain pieces will work as objective points in game and I for one cannot wait to see how they turn out. The idea of making an underwater themed board is just too cool to pass up. Maybe I'll see if Lloyd would have any ideas.

Talk about great artwork. I hope they make this model do justice for the consept art.
Wow – she’s bright. I usually love the vivid colours but here the use of candy pink and baby blue are a little too jarring, too children’s anime for me. Everything else about her is beautiful as usual though. The underwater terrain looks interesting and will certainly be useful, but the secret to it will probably be to carefully paint light and shadow to mimic the effect of rays passing through the motion of the ocean. That could be difficult for me…if there’s a way to avoid doing blending over a whole game board I’d like to know. I can’t… Read more »
