Dream Pod 9 Help You to Get Where You Need in a Hurry

Dream Pod 9 have a new miniature exclusively available from their online store. The Southern Barnaby Gear Transport.
I like the robust, functional appearance of this vehicle. It looks more than capable of delivering these heavy mechs even to the most dangerous of situations.
Do you guys like the look of this transport, or do you think it could be improved upon? Think you might order one?
I am not liking that design very much. Its so boxy and looks like cargo container with wheels attached to it.
It’s very top-heavy – the shape reminds me of a Jawa Sandcrawler without the treads…I like it as a Gear-delivering transport (although the wheels look like a Gerry Anderson design from something like Thunderbirds so this vehicle would just ‘bumble around’ rather than be practical) which apparently is its role, but not as an APC or combat vehicle.
Fortunately that vulnerability can be put to use by making this an objective in a scenario-based game, so this is definitely worth remembering.
I thought it was the new Storm Raven
It’s not great. I can appreciate what DP9 was trying to do with this, but it just falls flat for me. I could actually accept it a lot more readily if the wheels were better thought out. As it is, with the way they’re shaped, it looks like the axles would snap under the weight. If I ever got one I think I’d try to put on some caterpillar treads and risk the sand-crawler comparisons.
My biggest problem with it are the wheels.
Maybe if they gave it a wheel and suspension system like the Mars rover or wide treads like a SnowCat.
I have no end to my love for this model.
As perfect replica of the Ghislain Barbe artwork from the old RPG and Tactical game, my nostalgia and insiders view on the SV-888 Barnaby out weighs its lumbering, defenceless nature.
Always wanted to see one to scale with the other Gear miniature lines, and I will be getting three just to add scenery for my RPG games and Tactical scenarios.
