Father-Officer Gabriele De Fersen… Coming Soon from Infinity!
April 13, 2012 by beerogre
If you're a Pan-Oceania player, then you might want to check out the latest heroic character model coming soon from Infinity... Father-Officer Gabriele De Fersen!
This spitfire-wielding, holy warrior, is also a hacker, so he can fill multiple roles in your force. What will you use him for?
To me this shout out La Vallett !!!
BADASS!
Thats a very nice model.
As an aside, is there any chance of Romain doing a painting tutorial on an infinity mini at any point in the future?
I must admit to be struggling a bit to adapt to them, they really are very different from most 28mm minis to paint I find, the mutliple layers of clothing and the fact they are smaller with higher detail levels than most other stuff out there , I’m finding blending etc on such small plates on armour in particular isnt really giving the effect I’m hoping for.
All right then.
Since you ask…
BoW Romain
Yay!
That would be so useful!
Both in my immediate gaming community and seemingly on the net it looks like Infinity is really starting to take off – and one of the most common of comments is regarding painting the minis, which are generally a real headache if you’ve just come from painting a marine army or something similar!
I’m with nogginthenog!
Love this model too. Even though I don’t do PanO I’d get him just for the fun of it.
The first of them without a helmet. Looks super cool and bad ass!
Well aside from the usual choruses of elation: I’m going to go against the trend and say it is boring for an Infinity mini, especially a named character. There is no dynamism or movement here, not much character ( a bald head does not = special ). Considering the quality of some of the other basic troops type sculpts for Infinity, this is a pretty weak release from CB.
In its defense they can’t all just be charging forward. At some point you need the stern observer calling the shots. And I think the fact that he has the guts to take the helmet off says something. At least it’s not a ridiculous haircut like some 40k figs.
I think it’s on purpose.
It’s an “hommage” to space muhreens, you see…
You know how you see some 80ies hair rock star in a sparkly frock and think to yourself “wow, these guys were considered badass back then?” ?
Well that’s how I see the muhreens come up against the heavy infantry sculpts from Infinity …
I’ll take ten! Hopefully the Seraph’ll be along soon, I’ve had a bunch of Military Order sat in my drawer for a couple months now and just got them out, now they need a robot to go with their bald nutter.
I like him quite a commanding pose, surveying the battlefield, I was expecting him to be in a hacking pose, I am pleasantly surprised.
It’s not just the sculpt I love – look at the naturalistic flesh tones on his head, the red outline cross in the middle of his robe (that’s no transfer guys…) or even ‘simply’ the NMM job on the armour.
Dammit Angel why do you have to make me so jealous? 😉
Amazing Miniature!!!!!! Corvus Belli rules the Tabletop scene with a large miniature range of excellent quality. I hope this will go on for some decades.
Also, Angel did an unbelievable paint job. AGAIN.
