Big fan of the tokens and templates. It’s handy for moving around etc but I still use a long tape measure for weapon ranges. The tokens are really really nice, they are durable and keep order ambiguity down during play. You can’t go wrong with a bag of these at the ready.
They look awesome, but the pack compositions are a little strange … a “starter” pack with a few wounds, some TO/Cammo and the like would be great. Who needs two possessed tokens in a game anyway?
As it is, you need three to four packs to get just the basic line-up of tokens and that gets you dangerously close to 30 euros.
For the time being I’ll print mine out (and glue them to some spare bases for the ones that require 25mm diameter), while do a little research on local laser engravers and cutters who work with plexiglass (acrylic glass).
If you live anywhere near manchester my dad has just got a laser cutter. Currently working on terrain designs for him, but I’m sure some 25mm cirlces with order, possessed etc can be accomodated
Sent you a personal message …
Way too much for the tokens, the old Confrontation and AT-43 tokens were around $8.00 for a bag and were nicely felt backed to boot.
I thought these looked great the other day until I checked them out. I have to agree with lucas you would have to buy quite a few sets for a basic game.
Until they change the assortment I’ll stick to my bottle caps.
Yes they are useful but I always loose or forget to bring mine to games.
Got to echo the above sentiments; that while I feel the tokens look nice enough they are way to expensive for me personally to consider purcahsing.
i was also thinking of getting them but like others have said you dont get everything you need in 1 pack so costs way to much as you need 3/4 packs which really is a shame as micro arts do some really good stuff
I can see a use for that template, even in some other games. Now that I think about it, GW should have something handy like that.
I owe the wound and order ones, and they are very handy. The price is a little high, but that’s more because of the volume of sales is low compared to other, bigger systems.
the question now is what template does Darrell use for 40k ?
