A Shadowy Figure Rises in Carnevale
February 28, 2012 by brennon
In the last of the new wave for Carnevale from Vesper-On Games, they really bring out the fright factor with The Black Spectre, a special character for The Patricians...
Dark, mysterious and full of menace. This has certainly got to be one of the best releases so far for Carnevale. I love the swirling ghosts and skulls across the back of the miniature and the plain masquerade mask just adding to the frightening visage.
Will you be summoning The Black Spectre?

OK! That was not what I was expecting from the thumbnail of this. This is better than I thought and the painting is well done.
so is the dude really really small or is he 28mm with a massive ghostly friend wrapped round him??
I think (so take this with a pinch of salt) that the little bloke in the middle is a small puppet/man and the spectre is 28mm scale. Will consult the sages of the web.

Thats intresting looking model. I kinda like it.
A fantastic sculpt, but an even better paint job.
Thats an imposing sculpt! Im seeing an avatar of Nyarlathotep for ones inevitable Lovecraftian Pirate game mashups.
That is, without a doubt, an amazing looking mini.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for all the good feedback we’re receiving from all of you! A fair question has been asked, and it needs an answer. How tall is the Black Specter? Well, the nobleman floating in the middle of the ectoplasm is 28mm.. so the whole beast is 80mm tall. Sculpted by master Thomas David.
It looked like a great creepy mini with a superb paint job when I thought it was 28mm with a creepy little doll… now we find out it’s the spectral equivalent of a dreadknight/landmate/powerloader (delete as preferred), I think I have to get one.
D’oh, that wasn’t meant to be a direct reply.
Lovely mini. Very Creepy!
