More Alien Auslanders Join the Fight

Mad Robot Miniatures have put up some more previews for their 15mm alien Auslanders. This time they are a bit more alien than just an extra set of arms.
The concepts of these are promising and I will be interested to see how they turn out as 15mm sculpts.
Now that’s a lot better than the last time I saw the Auslander – improved detailing, more character, proper sci-fi guns…still got the ‘stacked torso’ problem though. A rework of the upper body anatomy and a little sharper detail and I think it could be great though.
Also – sci-fi beastmen? Now there’s a blast from the past…
Love the goatman, just wish it was 28mm as I don’t want to start another scale of figure collecting
thc gave you a thumbsup to get you off triple Nelson’s, so now I can put my feet back on the floor! lol
I’ve not heard that one…sounds like an equivalent of the Macbeth dance from Blackadder the Third… 😉
I’ve heard of a half Nelson, a full Nelson and an Admiral Nelson(I think that’s how an insurance salesman makes you submit your excess) but the triple nelson is a new one on me as well…
A Nelson in cricket is a score of 111 and is considered unlucky for the batting side.
There is a superstitious tradition of getting one’s feet off the floor on this score or multiples of it
Presumably 111 is like the stumps sans bails! Howzat?
The Aussies have the same thing with 87
There are some 28mm sci-fi goatmen at EM-4 miniatures.
Not so keen on those tbh but thanks anyhow 😀
What I like about the MadRobot one is that I find it more sympathetic rather than Beast = chaotic/evil
I hope he isn’t intended to be a jolly bad egg lol
I know what you mean, I like the above sculpt for the same reason. If you don’t need a whole army/unit of them, then you can check the Infinity Nomad faction for some too.
Now that makes sense it’s in 15mm. This will be good for that scale and rather unique at the same time.
I’m not keen on the ageing Homer Simpson but the goatman looks good
lol…you had to say Homer Simpson. I saw it as more of an “ape-ish” look…until you mentioned Homer Simpson.
Those are very promising.
