Look forward to a detailed analysis and test by Romain.
Totally agree, it was great to see it but paints need a in-depth review :P.
are these the same warpaints in the mantic sets?
I would like to see a quick shade vs these washes comparison. 🙂
I’d interested in this, so bring on Romain
Interested to see an opinion on the metallics. Sounds very much like the model air metallics from what I’ve heard with the fine metal particles but all the local Vallejo stockists don’t stock the air line. There is an Army Painter stockist though so if they’re good I’ll hopefully be able to pick them up without resorting to the interweb =)
All questions will be answered by the fabulous @elromanozo … his shift at BoW towers starts March 1st, so look out for some reviews then.
I only wanted to show you guys what you get in the box… it takes a true artist to give you a proper review.
Although I am something of an expert with quickshade… 😀
Any and all advice even on quickshade is welcome in my books.
Good old quick shade, my brettonian peasants sware by it. Will they put an X after a statement written by me
I wonder… could you mix the quick shade with a mixing medium to prevent it from pooling as it dries?
I’m not sure… I’ll look into it. I think it’s doable with water, so it should be doable with medium. However, it defeats the purpose of quickshade.
Quickshade is a very surfactant liquid, designed to pool (in all the recesses of a miniature, for example).
Incidentally, one can add a bit of dishwashing liquid soap (a mere drop is enough) to watered-down paint to render it more surfactant, and have the pigments pool in the recesses better than if it were simply dilute paint.

lets see how you do white with quickshade?
@beerogre… A challenge has been issued…
Now, Andy must do a tutorial on dipping !
