Holding the Hot Gates with Victrix
February 2, 2012 by brennon
Looking to bolster your Greek forces in order to hold the Hot Gates against the powers of the Persians? Then how about these previews from Victrix?
Above are the previews for Athenians, Spartans and Thebans all with very characterful models and individual styles. All these models will come with interchangeable parts and in plastic, with the Athenians possibly out for sale at Salute this year.
Looking forwards to these?
Lovely detail – particularly liking the beards and armour sculpting. I think I’ll need…oh…300 of them?
THIS. IS. VICTRIX!
Good thing that those spartans are more like they real historical counterparts with armor and all instead of being half naked.
Or being entirely naked as drawn by Frank Miller in “300”.
I like the Athenians the most just because one has his helmet half on, that looks cool.
Very nice to see more plastic options but Im leaning towards 6mm Polemos style ancients myself and selling my 15mm stuff off. All these nice 28mm may tempt me to some 120mm Impetus based forces however
Victrix have some good stuff
My LHS will be stocking them, so they’ll be difficult to resist.
This is exciting news. Victrix as far as I know only make Napoleonic figures which are quite superb but not a period I wargame.
To see they are now producing ranges from periods I do game is Brilliaaaaaaaaaaant
These have got to be the best plastic Greeks out there.
