Warhammer 40k: Space Marine Dreadnought Assault Sighted!
January 18, 2012 by brennon
We saw a teaser about the Dreadnought a few weeks ago, but now details of the new multiplayer mode in Space Marine have been solidified. Check out the images below with more information!
The new DLC is out 24th of January for the US, and the 25th for the EU. It adds a new multiplayer mode where marines of both sides fight for control of a massive dreadnought to lay waste to the enemy. A bunch of new maps are also include and updates to previous game types.
Looking forwards to being entombed in the Emperor's finest wargear?

Aw crap. Saw this and thought GW had a new conversion / model for an assault dread. Bummer. I want a Dreadnought with Jump Packs, and force weapons. 😛
Build one using the engines from a Valkyrie and weapons from a Dreadknight 😛
The Librarian Furioso kit might be of interest…it’s got the force weapon just no wings. 😉
Good Idea. Bit pricey though.
Try BitsandKits.co.uk, LetTheDiceDecide.com and BitzBox.co.uk for cheap bits, and in some cases whole sprues for a cheap price too at LetTheDiceDecide and BitsandKits. 🙂
I’m US so bitz in the UK are shipping cost prohibitive, but thanks.
I’ve been holding breath for a long time for a simple plastic chaos dread myself. I don’t have the game so this has little to offer me.
I hope it means that you actually get to control the dreadnought; I dunno how, but that would be fantastic!
you can! see my forum topic for a link with details 🙂
We’re going to need missile launchers!
I have copies on both my PS3 and PC and cant wait for this for both! So excited!
Hmmm. I hoped that this would allow you to control dreadnoughts also in the single player campaing. I haven’t played the game through yet, so I’m not sure if there’ll be a spot in the story where the player would be able to unleash some dreadnought mayhem.
The single player ends on something of a cliff hanger…so there’s every chance that they will continue it in some way. After all, they are pouring a LOT of effort into this game post launch so they do believe in it as a concept, and good for them.
