Nice way to show the new models, helps with deciding on which to buy. Does need to have a spooky version of the magic roundabout music though…

Spot on!
YES! I love Bill Bailey!
I wasted a full hour and a half a work watching BB’s Troll video. You can see the whole show on google vids. Thanks very much, from an ignorant American who never knew much about Bill Bailey, this was awesome.
It might be just me, but do the Coven Throne and Mortis engine look a bit too busy to other people? Too much detail actually ruins the overall effect in this case I think. I’m not mad keen on the Hex Wraiths either. Think Isabella looks awesome though and I like Krell.
I wish Krell were wearing some better shoes, though…
It’s not like he can go to his local market and buy some shoes! Who’s gonna measure his feet?! Can you imagine it: “OK, Krell sir, just walk around a bit to see if they feel ok”.
God, I just can’t get over how stupid those Hexwraiths look.
They SOUND like they might be an interesting unit, but if I’m going to field any, they’ll probably have to be Black Knights with green stuff applied in the right places…
A challenge for anyone willing, would be to paint the hexwraiths so they don’t look dodgy.
Lovely Black Knights.
Not into the coven throne and what ever the other thing is called. Yet again good to see GW not using bowed chariot bases. Sort it out you mugs, sick of having to heat and bend my bases straight.
I quite like the Hex wraiths, remind me of the old wraiths on horses from the 80’s
I know what I’d buy the coven throne thing for. I’d cut it up and use all its elements into unit filler and such as it seems to cover almost all the cool choices in the army. We shall see, we shall see.
Is it me or do a lot more of these have sticky-out bits that make it harder to rank them up and get them into base contact with other units? Seems like maybe if I were designing minis for a game system as reliant on base positioning as wfb, I wouldn’t have a huge flowing cape jutting out from the model, or flying horses that stick out past the edge by fully two thirds the length of the damn base.
Yep GW’s games and miniatures have a very uneasy relationship. lol. And have done since the mid 90’s. Really, really not keen on the Coven and Mortis Engine the more I see of them. Just not my cup of tea.
Both Mortis Engine and Coven Throne look awesome. In fact in my opinion most of those exept for Crypt Horrors look great. Also its great that we finaly get new gorgeous looking Isabella von Carstein to go with Vlad von Carstein.
Some awful toones, plus a mix of awesome and gack minis for me. I can see some RPG or Skirimish games liking some of these minis

I love Krell except for the fact he looks like he is from an Avenged Sevenfold album art. The skull with wing symbology is huge on his shoulder and axe. All Krell needs is an “axe” to shred on. (I know that was terrible but I couldn’t help myself!)
I’m trying to limit my purchases to things that I’ll be using in game. Throne/Engine kit is out. I’m getting 2xcrypt horrors and 2xhexwraiths….in terms of impulse buys, i’m having to go with the Wight King….. I really like the Krell model, but i’m waiting to have the book in hand before i decide whether or not he’s going to be worth buying….oh, and P.S. I think the VonCarstein couple might be worth the purchase if feilded together…but i’ll be able to make that determination once i’ve tried some serious lists. P.S. Bloodknights look amazing in terms of their rules….but… Read more »
I am less impressed with the Mortis Engine / Coven Throne now that I see it in full 360 view. Needs some filler or something in the middle. Just looks flimsy, and also highly breakable when you look at the join sections. I do like the Raiders of the Lost Ark ghosts at the top of the model Mortis Engine. I dont’ know why but when I see the Crypt Horrors, I envision a diorama of them running around a bonfire while some Witch doctors play the bongos off to the side… When I first saw the Black Knights I… Read more »
“Why would Isabella be wearing tattered clothing?”
I had a feeling something was off, of course you’re right, she’s the ultimate noble lady and would never be seen with less then perfect clothing.
Hey look, it’s #^%^# KRELL!
huh, alotta hate for both the new engines and the Hexwraiths. I like them all, actually, with the Mortis Engine (replacing the Necromancer atop it with the new plastic blister!) coming out on top. Krell looks seriously nice, and I’m happy they pulled a Skrolk on the Kemmler mini (if it ain’t broke, don’t resculpt it!).
GW, seriously… this video wasn’t terribly bad, but it needed to have been released a WEEK ago instead of the other wackiness. A spoiler is cool, but only when it’s spoiling something, not when it hints at something totally previewed more then a week before.
I agree the old Krell looked rather weedy…..and I’m glad they redid him he looks way better. heinrich kemmler and Skrolk are fine miniatures and still look awesome…but I would be curious to see what they would of come up with lol
coven throne and mortis engines just look like a mess imo
you got Krell……is this the return of heinrich kemmler…..oh I hope so Loved that character and he was a right sod….if he’s back lets hope they have tamed down his abilities a little as he was out during the era of OTT Special Characters 😀
Yes, Heinrich is back 😉
it’s worth it for that Krell sculpt
