I like them. It’s good to see that they will have many new models (no battle engines tho…). Do you think maelok would synergize well with the Cryx (as i guess he will work only for them as a mercenary) ? And is the blindwater a good army on its own with this new stuff ?
@nanabaky Blindwater has a different feel to many of the other Hordes armies. Their ARM is generally higher and they have a mixture of control/debuff magic and a pretty mean melee punch. If you play them, you’ll find that unless you play on tables where you can place terrain they will often lose any benefit from Amphibious (i.e. move through and hide in water), plus any opponent who knows you play them will try to deny you any water terrain. Yes, swamps and ponds and generaly water based terrains except rivers are quite rare on the battlefield. It generaly serves no other purpose than blocking pathes… But i like them, i’ll try to build some, it can be fun to make 🙂
I’m not surprised the minions can’t really stand strong on their own. It’s a shame, when you see the miniatures, but i guess that’s not how mercenaries are supposed to work.

That Undead Gator caster can make your gator men posses arm 22 undead and incorperal for a round, now thats fun. Add a few of thos solo casters and you can realy go nuts turning multiple units undead and nearly invounerable to damage… The skelly swarms are going to be afected too, so if you stack your army for it you can do some horrible stuff…
Love the Blindwater. Their the Mini’s that got me into Hordes. Thanks for doing such a good review of them.
On Maelok, his feat is actually very good, unless your opponent has magic attacks you will be able to strike pass his models and this allow you to wreck his support pieces or go for his caster. Revive I think is better than what you make it sound, the posse are the obvious choice, with death pact on a unit and the possibility of bring one of them back is really annoying as they are hard to kill.
