John’s still alive!!
I was wondering if a warp storm sucked him into the void at Games Day.
nice vid as always, useing him offens is nice.
I just got my first Defiler model about a week ago and your right, it is a pain if you dont take your time. Its body and hull is pretty much done although positioning its legs and claws can be a bit of a hassle if the legs/claws dont have a tight fit in the sockets.
Also do you guys think that a defiler can get a cover save from a rhino? Cause the way I positioned it legs and claws only shows the turret and the torso of the defiler.
i dont actualy have a difiler but as long as half of the body of the defiler is coverer then its got a cover save
Since 40k is using real lines of sight, there is nothing I see, that would not make this work.
its a nice model but hard to build perfectly
Get ready to rip your hair out, I’ve tried to help a friend put this together – makes IKEA furniture building look easy :s
Also to add, if you’re into your conversions or scratch builds, a YouTuber by the name of “Kanvass1” is a master with plasticard – take a look if you get a spare few minutes.
A replacement (bigger) exhaust on the defiler would look more impressive.
if its so hard, maybe u should do a build vid? i love this guy btw, i think its a great model, and even though i dont collect chaos, i kinda wana get one XD
John you’re great at explaining models and builds, keep up the great work. I have a question though. Is this an old model design? If so, do you think it’s time for a new look for the chaos defiler?
Maybe the defiler has a very efficient engine which requires a very small exhaust. Also would a defiler be allowed fire its heavy flamer forward and burn its front claws. According to Darrell it would not, if you apply the same principal as to that of the Ball Preditor.
Actually I don’t think it’s a matter of engine, what moves the defiler is probably a chaos daemon binded into a mutated machine. So the real question is: did daemons need exhaust tubes? 😀
