Is that a Dystopian Wars gaming mat or are you using the Dreadfleet one? Lovely sea effect!
Its the Dreadfleet game mat.
looks like the dreadfleet mat from previous vids
The best way to get a quick and easy water effect board that I have found is to get a water texture off the google-web and then blow it up to A3 size. Print them all out, and just stick it down with blue-tac onto your existing 4×4 etc boards.
Of course if you have access to a way to print bigger than that, print it the size of your board etc.
Oh and every time in this I say specific…I mean Pacific…doh lol. 😉
“Defencing the Empire”?
Lulz! 😉
Its been a nice series of videos guys, thoroughly enjoyed them – I should have been working whilst watching them though, which obviously always makes them better.
As I said in the first vid, wish I had time for some of these great games, they absolutely deserve to be supported, but even with the free rules offer, and those amazing Brit models I looked at on Waylands site, I really cant add another game to the list. It looks game though, I have to say.
Love the fluff.
Do you know if Spartan Games is planing to put out a Down loadable cut-out0fleet for Dystopian Wars.
Is there any people you could put on the ships? That would be awesome!
Like model people
Look for 2mm scale stuff, for example these…

I can’t remember specific links ATM, sorry.
So just curious, how long this “week” is going to take?
Nice video, but…. Just some points from a Spartan forum goer: 1) The British do not own Australia, Australia is now an independent country having rebelled. Australians now fight as mercenaries. 2) The British are *allied* to to the Russians, not fighting them 😛 (Although that may change) 3) Ottoman Empire, not Arabian 😛 (and as an addendum, Prussia was a region of Germany, the kingdom of Blucher and Bismarck, just to explain) 4) The FSA *is* at war, formally, with both Japan and Russia, but is not formally allied to anyone. Otherwise, great to see some Dystopian Wars coverage!… Read more »
When I say “that may change” it was just in reference to the fact that the Tsar has some pretty big ambitions from what we know… not that I have any solid facts of a massive everyone on Russia game 😛
And also, this is just fluff, so not really that much of a problem in case anyone thought I was being overly snarky!
By any chance do the Canadians have a fleet and such? After all, Canada would never willingly just join up with the US as another state, unless its all of America as in north, central and south that joined forces. The reason I ask is Canada is a big country run by the British at the time.(Still is, we all pledge allegiance to the queen).
I’d like to see what they could come up with as in ships and tanks.
Now I have the irresistible urge to field a steam-powered moose. Metzger-sized, with tesla antlers…
