New Releases from Warhammer Forge
October 13, 2011 by dracs
Warhammer Forge have got two new miniatures for you to bring into the battles of the Warhammer Fantasy world.
Firstly we have the Wight King Standard Bearer for the Vampire Counts.
Carrying the Drakenhof Banner, this long dead king now marches to war in the hosts of the Vampire Counts.
But maybe you are looking for something a bit bigger. Well how about this guy?
This is the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts.
"Known in legend as the Bloody Hidesman, the Horned Man or the Faceless Hunter, the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts can only be summoned through savage and secret rites all but unknown outside the Amber College and the hellish Bray-Shamans of the hordes of mutant beasts that skulk in the dark places of the world. It is a towering, half-human figure that embodies the ferocity and merciless hunger of the wild, a mortal form binding the turbulent spirits of numberless predators."
So guys what are your thoughts on these two new additions? Do you like how they look? Anyone think they might make use of them?
Not bad at all, rather like the Wight model.
The Wight is very nice. Perhaps not £14 + postage worth of nice but certainly a good model. The Elemental I am really not keen on at all. I like the idea, an amalgamation of various predators mixed with a slightly more anthropomorphic form, but being GW they just HAD to put a skull on it didn’t they. Totally ruins the whole thing for me, and at £45 it would have had to have been perfect to tempt me. Also if it is supposed to be made of the spirits of predators why has it got stag antlers? Not that… Read more »
I agree the head on the elemental is wrong in my opinion. Just reading the fluff there something like this had so much potential but theyve wasted it. Probably the weakest release from Warhammer Forge so far…
The elemental is so childish and crappy… Probably well sculpted, but completely off. It doesn’t register, culturally, it’s just mix and match. They could have done a giant stag with pointy antlers and called it “herald of Taal”, or some kind of a bear perhaps, or a weird wolf for Ulric… But noooo, they had to have some kind of a deformed “skeletor” gorilla with chicken hands and disproportionately small feet…
As for the skeleton, it’s arguably well done, but it’s nothing terribly original…
Forgeworld has done way better.

Disappointed
Saw the antlers and hoped to see a Herne type figure. The parts are okay but imho don’t make a good whole.
Sorry but a sabre toothed elephant deer is an ingredient to much in the mixing bowl especially when the hands are budgie claws.
edit: meant to say I saw the antlers in the linky thumbnail
That beast looks like it has no detail or rather it looks like GW could have just made it rather than forgeworld. Something about it just seems odd. I think its that it is hard to see this being apart of the beastmen army as it just looks nondescript. Also the paint job is bland.
Nice wight but the elemental is terrible.
I expect much better than this from FW. I usually overlook the price of their resin kits because the sculpts are fantastic, but this is possibly the worst model they have produced so far.
I hope this does not set a precident for a drop in sculpt quality from their studio =(
I agree with the comments about the elemental, something about it just doesnt feel wight…
Oh deer…
I judge you!
lol sorry
Im unsure on the elemental – too human with bits added. Do like the wight – ordered one for my vamp army. Will be removing the Gw stylee bat wing off the top of the helmet…
