Ha! Monster Munch totally!! Its like a bunch of old skool TV kids tropes have been left to evolve on a lost continent. (Michael Bentine / Flumps etc) 🙂 Loving the vision of this world of elemental beings, especially the subtle Southern hemisphere flavours, pretty fresh take imo. The ccg/fist full o dice combat mash up seems a little arbitrary but until I’ve played it I reserve judgement; either way there are some nice & fun narrative touches in the cards (trip, snatch etc). Thanks acidcat – I’ve tried very hard to make it a unique game in Dawn. I’m glad you picked up on the southern hemisphere nods as well. I think when you see the game play out, it won’t seem arbitrary. It is more of a blend of boardgame and miniatures game where your choices matter. The game looks interesting but the mini’s are what caught my eye. Love the look of them as they are not the usual human/ork/undead-metal-deamon-thing that every other games seems to have.
Cannot wait to see the other two races!
