GW Goes to Poland!
September 27, 2011 by beerogre
Games Workshop have just added a Polish flag to their website, so all of their (no doubt) multitude of Polish fans can get their hands on the 40K and WHFB fix.
Not only that, but because its a new country, GW are again offering their exclusive, web-only Space Marine Sergeant model for orders of 250PLN or more (approx £50/$75).
Demand is always high for the exclusive models... and last time I heard... they can go for silly money on eBay.
To each his own I suppose.

Kurwa!
How nice…
My thoughts exactly.
Only edge that GW is offering are Specialist Games and Exclusives.
That’s exactly how I reacted seeing the prices there.
They are 25% over usual prices of legit GW stuff in Polish online stores.
At this premium the free miniature better be made of gold.
I’m still thing they are missing out on Easter Island and Monster Island. Get the respective flags for them as well GW!
Can’t help thinking what the upshot was the last time an Evil Empire invaded Poland…
Where’s Captain Mainwaring and the Walmington-on-sea Home Guard when you need them?
Don’t panic! Don’t panic! 😛
I’m calling Walmington-on-sea Three Three Three right now!
Last time I checked the Polish were already pretty adept at making 40k figures themselves :p
lol Touché
About as good as brits are at looting…
Anyway, well done GW, about two decades too late, if only there wasn’t a number of established LGS’ there it migth make an impact…
True, true. We make some decent dwarves too (Scibor)
O don’t where did they get the fing those currency exchange rates. An ork battleforce costs 280 zees on the GW site, while i know a shop where you can get it for 218. That’s a box of boys if you buy in the right place…
*I don’t know, sorry guys.
You could say crazy exchange rates is a GW speciallity, just ask the Austrailians. Here in Sweden they still count the pound as 15sek when its now down to 10sek.
Yeah, I know. I’m just afraid other retailers will bump the prices up to earn more or will be forced to do so by GW, not to hinder their sales. Suffice to say I just ordered a battleforce today. Call me paranoied, but I want my nob biker squad up and croozin’ and my boys up and running as soon as possible. And as a librarian I don’t get enough cash to suddenly spend as much as GW wants to charge us. Unfortunately my job is more likely to turn me into and orangutang than give me any psychic powers…… Read more »
@jakubmb & @kevlin … that’s why I included the approximate £££/$$$ value (which I got from http://www.xe.com)… it seemed odd.!
I remember, when you didn’t get the exclusive Space Marine until you’d spent over £100.
Perhaps this is one of the few price drops we’ll ever see on GW?
I’d rather GW went to Poundland
@chibi Don’t sully the name of the modeller’s paradise that is Poundland!!!
I still have plans to do some Backstage videos to show you guys some of the stuff I pick up in discount shops… from Stegadon-sized Triceratops for a quid (I have plans to make a howdah out of coffee stirrers)… to giant skulls for terrain… and my latest “giant dinosaur skeletons!”
Some D&D Necromancer is going to get a treat!
A thousand apologies
Howdah make one of those out of coffee stirrers? 😛
I always use their No Nails for sticking styrofoam and the universal filler is excellent
Am going to get supplies tomorrow so hope the dinosaurs haven’t become extinct
Don’t forget Halloween is round the corner also, time to stock up on those rubber rats for Skaven A- Bombs!
50…British….pounds. What?!
You get the model free if you spend the equivalent of £50 in PLN (Polish Money) on other stuff in the Polish GW site… I think.
