Is this the Future of the Necron Codex?

Check out this Necron game that Ben discovered at Games Day... could it be a glimpse of the future Necron Codex?
Let the traditional BoW speculation run wild!!!

Looks like the unholy love-child of a Necrosphinx and a Nemesis Dreadknight to me.
You are right. So everyone else over reacting to this. I for one think its time the Necron bring out the robobabes to “TAKE OVER THE WOURLD!!!”
Its a Dreadknight, done up as a necron lord.
Since the rumours are that Matt Ward is on the pen that’s scribbling it, essentially yes, that is the future of the Necron Codex: something ward will ruin for the long time players of the race, just like he did to the Daemon hunters.
The staff looks ridiculous. But its kinda meh, okay. There was a monstrous creature rumoured, and one mentioned in Fall of Damnos.
its ugly even without the staff. with it its damm terible
May we have a facepalm emoticon for the facepalm inducing Necro con please?
It is a joke right? Someone has stuck an action toy on a base?
well it is part dreadknight I spose 😛
I’m gutted – I was expecting the model spawning awesomeness of the Megalith! 😉
It’s clearly a one-off conversion for that specific participation game – he’s like a mech-skeletor on ‘roids – I think he’s slightly humorous. There might be some Necron unveilings for Darrell to drool his melted cheese over – but I doubt it. Dread Fleet will have had more of a release push than the next incarnation of the Necrons.
lol Maybe it was spawned by the Megalith when the batteries were running out
Skeleter, where is Heman? Is Games workshop becoming the next mattel!
Of course not
They have switched from Mattel to Finecast
*coat*
So it is a conversion? Thank God. I’m not an over reactor usually but I did start to cry into my coffee abit. (in shame).
Looks like Skelator from the old He-Man cartoon. 🙂
1) the top of the staff is clearly out of the monolith
2) it’s feet are either from the dreadnought or knight
3) yes it’s a conversion
4) thank god!

Trippy man!
never liked the crons the models suck and they all look the same that thing looks crap
It was a conversion our local GW store did especially for the Necron table which all the London branches chipped into. Thanks to all the people saying it was terrible. I’m sure my good friend who spent many man hours on it will be well chuffed. What you don’t see from the picture is it lights up (which gains extra points from me anyway).
@ puressenceuk
There was a misunderstanding that it could be a GW model which caused concern and negative comments
If the model had been displayed with a label stating it was a conversion by a fan the responses would have been very different and a lot more supportive.
I apologize unreservedly if my own comments caused offence
.
Its the Nagash of WH40K! As in big, ugly, and no-one would want to buy it..
I suppose if the lollypop went, it might look a bit better.
Kudos for the scratchbuilding, less so for the final product.
Maybe @puressenceuk could get a better picture.
I will if you want (assuming we get it back!)
lol, was indeed a conversion, but I like the idea!
It does look like he is holding one of those diamond chupa chup lollipops lol but there’s some really nice conversion work going on there. I’d be a happy man if my skill was as good.
Was pretty cool, you can’t really see there but they had put a light and battery in the staff to make it light up the crystal.
As already said its a kitbash between the Dreadknight and Necrosphinx.
Talking of Necrons – our table, the Necron Tomb Ship Kill Team game won Best Club Contribution award this year at GD.
