Mount Up In Forge World’s Coronus Grav-Carrier

Forge World has added another vehicle to the Legio Custodes garage. Here we have the transport option for your force, the Coronus Grav-Carrier.
"Armed with twin-linked Lastrum bolt cannon and Arachnus blaze cannon, the Coronus Grav-carrier is perhaps one of the most recognised vehicles used exclusively by the Legio Custodes.
This heavily protected transport skimmer provides them with a degree of speed and agility unmatched by the grinding armour of others who fight in the name of the Emperor, allowing the Legio Custodes to deploy rapidly into a range of terrain whilst reducing the risk of being pinned down by enemy forces."
While the vehicle is primarily used for transporting troops into battle it also has the armaments to deal with whatever problem may lie ahead of your advance. You could also support your forces as they disembark, harrying vehicles and infantry with those guns.

Have you noticed (..or I am just late to the party..) that 30K has a very 1950s and early 60s feel to it? Round edges, bubbles, curves, etc. Seems a very specific design esthetic meant to hearken back to that 30K time of which we of the 21st century recognize, almost subliminally, as being older and differentiating from that of the 40K period.
Yes I have noticed that and I think it is a very effective way of differentiating between the two eras. (besides the 30K stuff looks so “classic” )
Yes – and I’m sure it’s deliberate. They’re obviously including / inspired by the early miniature ranges but a) there simply aren’t enough of them to underpin the depth that’s required now and b) some of them weren’t very good so they need to draw on other design influences too.
I have to say, I love most of what they’re doing. If not the prices!

I think Rogue Trader 40k had a flyer made out of a shampoo bottle sprayed black (?)
I believe it was a deodorant. It appeared in some Beyond the Gates of Antares pics early on, I think its owned by Rick Priestly.
