Warren and John test the field radios, for the upcoming Flames of War Boot Camp!
First eyes, now ears, please can we stop there!
Before you get right up my nose “ha ha”
Hate to say this but each weekend i paint figures with your video show on in the room… i love it….
Going to listen to these whilst on long training runs for half marathon.
Podcast also means that the audio can be received via RSS feed. I would be very happy if I could get this, as a backstager preferably on a feed with a password.
How large is the file? 16min to dl?
This is great to see. I don’t always have the time to sit down and watch both the Weekender and the XLBS, or even listen to them while I hobby. Now I can have a listen while I’m at work or in the car and just make a note of the time when there’s something that I want to make sure and see.
Thanks a lot, guys! Great work!
Whislt I disliked the ReRoll idea, I really like this one!
The XLBS podcast is great as I rarely get time at home/connected to the internet to watch it and I can’t download them to watch offline. At least now I can listen to it and if I hear something interesting which I need visuals for can skip to just that segment to watch.
You could also just go to the links in the show’s description aswell.
Nice one lads …. I’ll give you feed back when I’ve had a listen. Thank you !!
Hello….
Well I saw the weekender, and now listened to your podcast and I have to say Its Not Bad At All.
Yes its the same thing but just had to listen.
Yep It Works…
Just the sound of your voices in the background while doing something modelling is EPIC…
I know it is extra work, but the podcasts have a place very specific to our hobby. I know many folks that paint and build to historical podcasts of the period they are playing or to audiobooks, etc. This is a good step forward… a great step forward actually and I am really hoping our community supports is it in the numbers needed to keep it worthwhile. Thanks guys.
I tend to re-watch the weekenders when trying to sleep – Not to say it’s boring or anything like that, just relaxing! The podcast works nicely for me, although it did seem to loop all night, so I’ve got a good excuse for spending the day doing hobby things after the subliminal/indoctrination of listening to all the great and fun things about our hobby whilst I slept!
Thanks a lot, guys! ^_^
I realize that the Weekender is the ONLY regular occurring time window I can have to actually paint and build stuff! So I better get doing that and not just work on my Computer and alt+tab to you guys when I hear something interesting or funny.
The lack of visuals does hurt a bit when referencing activities and new models. Audio narration does require some additional skill to paint pictures with words. BUT Warren’s story about Egypt and Jericho was perfect content for a podcast. I was totally captivated. So my suggestion: Train yourselves to take time to set scenes and describe new toys for your podcast audience in the filmed show, then you can simply lift the audio and have a perfectly good podcast show. For example: “…For those listening, We have a 4×4 battlefield. For reference, imagine my opponent’s side as North and going… Read more »
great for all BOW fan’s on the move.
This is perfect for me as it allows me to listen to you on the way to work..
But @Warzan please say your planning to send Justin off to look for a Celtic fire demon on Imbolc?
Great idea guys!
Give the file some better details in my player it comes up as 174xlbspodcast by unknown artist. Actually the name would be fine if you could put beasts of war as the artist.
