When any non English person learns english really well ; they have such an appealing , and singsong accent, with a Whimsical turn of phrase. Norwegians, Africans, Polish, and The French .With The Gallic’s and African’s it is especially singsong

Well, that is a rather high bar there Romain – I am pretty sure people like Sir Patrick Stewart, Stephen Fry, and Sir Ian McKellan actually could make money just reading the telephone directory – but there is something very therapeutic about capable non-first language English speakers speaking English.
The Americans seem to feel much the same way about Brits speaking English with a received English pronunciation, but that might just be because we and our transatlantic cousins speak quite sharply divergent versions of the language these days.
I especially appreciate the way the cartoon manifestation of Romain properly captures the majestic character of his signature beard…
