Let’s Play: Shadow Games with Steamforged Games
January 23, 2017 by dignity
Today we're sitting down with SteamForged Games to play their awesome quick and easy to learn tabletop game, Shadow Games. This game is perfect for those who travel a lot and those who want a quick burst of treachery and deception too.
"Every now and then, a special player comes along, one so talented that no Guild can afford to lose him. And when the stakes are high, you can bet on one thing: ordinary rules don't apply. The Guild sharks will stop at nothing to recruit this rising star.
Backstabbing, double-crossing, lying, cheating...you name it, they'll do it; for all is considered fair in the Shadow Games."
In Shadow Games, you must gather enough favours to secure the new star player for your guild. Players use various Plot and Agent cards to bribe, steal, and earn favour, but it is not enough to simply play the cards you receive. Fortune favours the bluffers!
Plays a card from your hand, and call it anything you want. If you convince your opponents of your lies, you will not only reap the rewards of the card you pretended to have but also gain a powerful bluff bonus that will accelerate your victory. Just don't get caught - it will cost you valuable favours to save face.

That’s a really fun looking little game.
I grabbed a copy f this at SteamCon and have played it a few times since. It’s really great! Quick, fun, uncomplicated. Job done.
Looks good, it doesn’t take to long and you can bluff and cheat your mates.
Does indeed look like a fun party game. That final move was hilarious.
ooh … you sneaky *you-know-what* …
lol
I live to serve ^.^
I really enjoyed that. I know I’ve said it before but Steamforged is really kicking goals, what a top little game.
looks a lot of fun, everybody having a giggle is always a good sign.
great if you play guild ball as it lets you explore another aspect of the game.
Looks quite good actually.
You can behave like an “absolute git” and laugh about it. Major part of gaming for me.
Justin the Sneaky Git!
Lovely end move!!
