Andy opens up the brand new set of Stormrage Veterans from Warpath. These heavy weapon troopers are the backbone of the Forge Father war machine... and remember include 10 in your army and you can add a Hailstorm Cannon Artillery Gun... not that I'm suggesting that's a cool idea.
Apologies to you guys for calling them Ion Guard...
We only heard that the name had changed to Stormguard Veterans just before this video went live.

I like the name, although “rage” tends tiwards a manic thought process disregarding personal safety.
They all look so much better than the painted models
its good to see the bare plastic/resin rather than the blue
I prefer the name Ion Guard… must just be your Irish accent. Wait what irish accent 😉
Nice mini’s and glad their not in the Ultramarine uniform lol
I dont want to sound like ranter, but im the only one who dont liked the new name? I mean, its not bad, even cool, but dont scream “Forgefather” to me…
But anyway, the models look greater in gray ^^. Im pretty disapointed into the “monoposeness” of them, i was expecting interchangable options. Well, i think that mantic could sell the weapons bits/arms separetelly, so we can use them in plastic (for more variabilitie only, i like those minis)
I love that minis (Two boxes, please!!), but I hope that they wil be in plastic in the future. I like resin, but I love plastic…
Good stuff there. Mantic is following a good line as they (for the moment) tend to do BIG armies to a cheap price. Yes, they have a limitated positioning, but the three models are cool. The officer will look greater pointing to the target rather to wielding the Mjolnir… sorry, heat hammer. The sad part of it is that there are just five in the box (if I have understood right). Stormrage veterans is a good name. It speaks about getting cold-headed in the middle of the battle as they usually stay where teir firepower is more necessary. But Ion… Read more »
look awesome without the terrible ultrablues
Want. Them. Now.
I should add… please. 😉
Ion guard is much better.
The more I see, the more I like.
Both names are great.
I am leaning toward the Ion Guard, I think it’s purely because of the Kings of War tie-in.
I have to admit Stormrage is kicking a mite more bum though.
@beerogre – are those the same resins from the competition? I was looking forward to putting them together myself… 🙁
@thc303 – No, Mantic will be sending you your very own shiny new box.
