Plan Ahead & Take A Look At Wyrd’s February Malifaux Releases
January 12, 2017 by brennon
Wyrd Games look ahead to February and show off what's on the way when it comes to Malifaux. Let's take a peek!
Leading the way into February we have The Pen Is Mightier, a selection of journalists who are looking to uncover the truth as to what is happening in the world of Malifaux. I love the theme here that's carried throughout the crew, especially The Printing Press machine in the middle.
Phinoa Gauge looks like she might have a problem that can only be solved with cold hard steel, however. I think this set might be one of those that gets you drawn back into the hobby!
Following on from this set we have the Swine-Cursed.
One would assume that these are a pair of Gremlins who maybe dabbled in the wrong magics and ended up getting turned into these boar-like creatures instead. As long as your name one of them Bebop that's fine!
Finishing things off for the models we also have the Yokai who continue a theme of animalistic creatures.
These certainly seem like they've been drawn out of Far Eastern mythology and in fact, they are known as the spirits, demons and monsters from Japanese myth. The types of creatures this covers is wide but I reckon they've hit the nail on the head with these blue critters.
What do you think of these February offerings?

I’m awaiting the Titania and Reva crew boxes to hit retail. I almost bought them during black friday but I decided to be wise and hold off.
i’m always sad for a month with no Arcanists, but also relieved for a month with no Arcanists. Nice models all round, stop making me want more factions!
the pig men are interesting.
Lovely! It’s nice to see some regular people. Malifaux can get pretty crazy!
i am flirting with the idea of Malifaux, and models like this certainly make it hard to resist. I initially saw myself as an Arcanist kind of guy, but models like these make the Ten Thunders and Gremlins very appealing (not saying I dislike the first crew, the models are excellent but … the media ??? it could only be worse if they were lawyers…. pass)
There is actually a lawyers box for the same faction ;). I’m going to say that some journalists and large elements of the media are generally much, much worse than lawyers (present company excepted of course…;)). At least most lawyers just work with what they are given and don’t actively make the world a worse place to live just to make money. I suppose there is an argument to say that some lawyers do exactly that, but even if that were the case it’s not on the same scale as the jingoistic, phone-hacking, self-righteous, self congratulatory, self serving wotnots that dominate… Read more »
…….. I concur with your personal prejudices, and I am a small enough man to irrationally expand on them and from what you’ve said, bestow my undying hatred upon the Guild faction. (that’s one faction discounted… now if I could only decide amoungst the others)
Go TT. They’ve got many awesome models including a dragon ;). Mind you the Arcanists and Neverborn are supercool as well and I ended up with a good section of those factions as well. Yeah…..I’m really not helping am I…. ;-P
Yeah,,, no,,,, sigh… though you have echoed my thinking hear too… and Gremlins are just plain interesting and characterful little buggers……..deeper sigh . 🙂
Gimme Gremlin Were-Pigs please!
