Our Lovely Display Table!

One of the things we always try and do is put together a display board. In this case we took one of the mats from Deep-Cut Studio and then whacked Warren's massive Space Station on top of it.

You can see some of the ships floating around this mighty space station here in the images below. The question is, what kind of game are we going to put together featuring this?

What would you plan?

Wonder if my missus would let me carpet the living room in deepcut mats?

You could also try building a coffee table from bunch of space station kits.

Lovely display board, I always aim to play my games at that type of quality. Exponentially adds to the experience whatever the game, no matter what the system

I honestly think I’ll be buying all three deepcut mats for my club. Temperate and ice are tied in my opinion.

……Maybe an Allies of Oportunity Team game at low points , Where there is either the “Human” Factions or the Alien factions Defending the posesion of the Space station, And the other Faction Trying to take it away from them……The winners then turn their Attention and Guns to Each other….

Is that a 4′ x 4′ mat? Is it the PVC? Looks amazing.

@h2ofowler – I don’t know but I suspect it’s the mouse mat version rather than the PVC.

Yes, it is a 4×4 mouse mat, and it look even better when you see it in real life

Warren had an idea of putting the station into seperate sectors, so maybe have it act like a cluster? So you can have your dropships and barges land troops on separate chunks of the station and move between them fighting each other? But instead of having using the abilities of ground clusters, each sector of the station you control gives you access to some of the space station weapons from the book?

The mats from Deep-Cut Studios look amazing, and the christmas list just keeps getting bigger

Okay, the station actually pops on the amazing and bright mats. I still say it should be called a HateStation.

I was wondering how well things would look with such a quick paint job. And I have to say I am quite surprised it worked so well.

Great display board, the mat is a must have. The Space station is equal to B5, and i think we will so quite a few more big one`s cropping up, but Warrens will always be the “First Big One”

Me i think big one`s are over rated, now medium on the other hand make for a better fit 😉

I’m thinking game wise you should do one of the attacks on B5 as something to inspire.

Some Battlecruisers and Battleships replacing the capital ships that defended B5, and have the station ‘launch cruisers’ against a massive Scourge attack.

Really love the colors and look of this mat. Probably my favorite of the ones there.

It’s a cool mat, but to me the table looks quite busy with the fleets on. Of course could be just under camera. Kind of reversed what miniature game usually are, bright colourful table and dull coloured models.
