Antares Rising: MOD2 Unit Tactics
November 30, 2016 by dignity
Today Chez from Warlord Games has joined me in the studio to show us how to play some more Beyond The Gates Of Antares looking at tactics for the C3M4 and MOD2 Units of the Concord.
In this game Justin is about to learn about MOD2: Multiple Order Dice Unit. Due to having less units on the board, the C3M4 allows the player to have a secondary action using MOD2 so we learn how to use this to great effect.

I definitely like the flexibility that MOD2 brings to the table. Its ability to for “force projection” is wonderful. With two activation dice, your opponent can’t rely on the “that unit has activated, so I can act freely around it now.” They have to sweat the fact that it could act again in the next activation. Or in the case of an activation going really well, you could press the advantage before the turn ends.
MOD2 is a very powerful tactical tool in the commander’s toolbox.
