Warlord Games To Open Their Own Brick & Mortar Store
November 18, 2016 by brennon
Warlord Games are going to be opening up their own storefront for you to go and visit in Nottingham at their HQ.
The store is some way from being finished right now but it should be open in January and will stock all of the ranges that Warlord are currently working on.
It will be set up for you to pick up all manner of goodies but will also be available for demo games during the evening. If you're interested keep an eye out for the store opening on Lenton Boulevard soon.
Will you be visiting?

Looking good. I hope it doesn’t end up being populated by a horde of screaming kids intermingled with infuriatingly chirpy sales assistants who descend on you the very second you come through the door and quiz you on your entire gaming history while trying to sell you half the shop (hmmmmm does this sound like a certain other games store?!?!).
Um… I got this. Don’t tell me… I can figure it out. Games Workshop!!!1
Thats cool, hope this is the first of many.
Spot a gap in the market here, mini bus tours around the gaming hq shops of nottingham…
Mantic, GW and Warlord now
Not sure Tour is the right word mate. Pilgrimage would probably be a better world. Nottingham will become the Jerusalem or Mecca for Wargamers!
and finish with a lunch at the “Road to Jerusalem”
“Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem” pub
been a while
It’s as if all the wallets in the world cried out in fear … 😉
Well, at least the ones in Nottingham! And by the way, what’s up with Nottingham being the centre of the miniature cosmos?
maybe it’s cause there’s Notting Hapn’ ?
Side effect of GW’s presence there I assume. Most other companies in the region are started by ex-GW staff who were probably living in Nottingham anyway. Then as more companies start there, more people leave those companies to start their own.
As with everything in our hobby, it’s like that because of GW 😛
Hopefully this will succeed and this will be just first of many.
Trips to Nottingham just got a lot more attractive (and they were pretty good to begin with).
Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem. In more ways than one.
Don’t touch the model ship!!
I love that they put a glass box around it. That really is health and safety gone mad!
(Also go the Canal House just down the road – outstanding boozer!)
can feel the inner kid wanting out just looking at the pictures of all the shiny goodness on the shelf’s.
That TTGOA table was made by a chap at my club and it looks so good.
Fantastic work from that chap.
Be great to get down therecand look if not perilous to the wallet. Nick from what little I know from his demo of antares to me is a great guy and excellent ambassador for the games.
Curious where abouts on site this is. When i went to pickup a missing part from the HQ i was told to go to a general shared reception area.
However with its out of town location i can’t imagine to many people will just wander in and look… if you’re there, your there to spend money.
Hi
Its onsite at HQ in Nottingham 🙂
Yes, given the out of town location I think those worried about ‘hordes of screaming kids’ will be safe. I too struggled to find Warlord when I went there (no doubt the only time ever I’ll be looking for one games company HQ and find another’s HQ first), but given the shop’s location in the building I suspect it’ll be easy to see when open.
I’m sure car parking will be easier/cheaper than the city centre too.
A bold but not unwelcome move
That’s it I’m getting my shovel. I’m going to make a land bridge from Canada too England so I can visit this place when ever I wish.
Hi Guys
The doors to Warlords shop will actually open at Midday on Monday 21st November 2017.
The ‘Grand Opening’ will be in January 2017.
looks like I’ll have to go back to Notts
If life ever sent me back that way I’d be pleased.
I would go for a look though Warlord sell nothing that I am interested in
Sounds like a great idea ! Huge fan of warlord games and all there products . Amazing stuff , can’t wait to see what they do with there store . Kudos to them !
Was gaming there recently and had a chance to look in to the new shop, looks like it will be a good thing, and as local to one be nice to pop in and grab new Antares stuff, as well as spend time just wandering around. Spied they had a space for possible painting area and gaming areas as well. Looks good.
I wish I lived in Notthingham…But my wallet doesn’t mind. I wonder why? 🙂
Went into the store today for a browse. Car parking was convenient and the store location was well signposted from there. It felt very welcoming and there’s definitely plenty of space. Hopefully it’s a success and people support Warlord doing this.
