Having faced 4 HMG nests in a 500pts Cassino game a couple of weeks ago, I can say for sure how deadly they can be on the table top.
However imo the models are way over priced for what you get. Anyone wanting to use the nests and bunkers in their games should check out the Model Dads blog (http://www.modeldads.co.uk/Painting-and-Modelling/Flames-of-War-Painting-and-Modelling-Guides.html) for a couple of excellent tutorials on how to make them.
those look pretty good, i’m sure with alot of foliadge (spelling?) they would make great jungle bunkers and “caves”
The Thin Blue Line? That was a BBC comedy series about the British Police with Rowan “Mr Bean” Atkinson.
You mean “The Thin Red Line”. War movie about the US assault on Guadacanal. And the nests do have a Pacific look to them. I have seen a painted up one for an Eastern Front board (so It had a dusting of snow over the dirt paint job) and it looked like it was on a snow covered atol near Midway imo.
Look good. Nice cases. Think the bunkers need some camo netting over them or they look too plain.
