Sarissa Precision Is Going Downriver With A New Boat
November 11, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Sarissa Precision has a new release for a really nice piece of MDF terrain for your next 18th-century game. The new Sidewheel Paddle Steamer is now available and can be used in any game with the American Civil War up to and including weird wild west games.
This boat is a nice size (W205 x D390 x H115mm approx (not including stack)) for any 28mm game. It is two levels and the roof is removable for inside gunfight action or some Jim Bowie knife fighting over a poker game.
Of course, it comes unassembled and unpainted, but that is half the fun of miniatures gaming isn't it? I can hear the banjos and piano playing in the saloon and clinking of drinking glasses.
This boat will make an excellent centrepiece in any game and can play such a dynamic part in your objectives.
What game would you play this in?

I have got to get me one of these!
The boat looks great, and it’s one that could easily fit into my current D&D setting…
Hell, it would work great in a modern game as a casino/cruise riverboat.
Think of a zombie game where you’re defending the ship from the undead as you patrol the rivers looking for survivors to rescue and take back to safety (Or add to the crew) along with supplies and anything useful…
Also, Malifaux…
Gonna have to get me one of them. Looks like the perfect home base for the Tranquility Crew in Blackwater Gulch 🙂
looks good.
I don’t have a table that this would fit well in but some how my Infinity games are going to have a paddle boat in it now.
This would be great in a game of the WDAOW.
Nice boat.
Would be nice to use in some sort of ACW scenario
Just in time for my “Huck Finn: The wargame” demo game. Very nice
