The Roman Auxiliaries Are Assembled By Victrix
November 3, 2016 by brennon
Victrix are continuing to build on their range of Early Romans with the Auxiliaries making their mark with a range of different weapons.
These figures shown off the soldiers with the wolf fur headdresses which would have been popular during the period.
Armed with all manner of different weapons the Auxiliaries would have been a major part of the growth of the Roman Empire and indeed as time went on.
It's particularly awesome looking at the soldiers with torches as they're about to get stuck into some raiding.
Do you like these wolf fur headdresses from Victrix?

Too awesome
nice.
Not convinced that ordinary auxillary wore wolf pelts. The signifer yes as did the Velites but I think that was as far as it went
Aye, what’s with the wolf pelts – that’s strange…
Still waiting on their Imperial Romans. These previews look great but all they have on the web store are the Punic wars era romans. Stop teasing us Victrix!
I agree with @torros .
Odd..and probably just Steve having fun.
But check out all the other pics on their FB page!!! The Auxiliaries really do look awesome and I cannot wait to get my hands on them next year 😎
Looks like ancients will be next for me. The mini’s are hard to resist, but I think I will collect two sides, and just prime them red and blue. My paint queue is HUGE!
Painting up some of their Republican Romans right now, and they are fantastic! True joy to paint, and I am not getting paid to say this… 🙂
Maybe they will attack Coleraine and the Beasts of War HQ :-O

I would really like high-quality plastic auxiliary cavalry and Roman marines – it would be great to do an Agricola vs Highlanders campaign
there’s even a night assault on a Roman fort in that campaign 🙂
