Macrocosm Close In On Final Days For Dwarves At Arms Kickstarter
October 25, 2016 by brennon
Macrocosm Miniatures are closing in on the final few days of their Kickstarter to bring a range of Fantasy/Historical Dwarves to the tabletop. Take a look at Dwarves At Arms...
The Kickstarter has been going from strength to strength as a range of fantastic metal models have come to life. The key focus for the project was to fund their Norman Dwarves.
But, it has exploded since then and now includes all manner of Historical Dwarves for you to use in your skirmish and mass battle games. Stretch Goals have unlocked the likes of Viking, English Civil War...
...Late Roman
...and even a clan of Samurai Dwarves too!
All manner of separate packs are available for these Dwarves from across history giving you a range of characters, troops and more to create an individual looking troupe of warriors. If you fancy heading towards more modern periods they're also looking to fund a range of World War I Dwarves too.
You can delve into the range via the links above and choose the kind of army or warband you want to make out of these bearded fellows.
As a big fan of Dwarves it's nice to see them spreading their influence beyond their mountain holds!
Take a look for yourself and tell us which of the periods appeals to you most!

I am very excited about these guys and have backed this from the beginning! The models are great and the guys working on it are too. Very accommodating and nice guys. And with Halflings at 100 quid for 100 and, Ogres, Trolls and a whole lot more (including prints of that great artwork of the Dwarven hordes through the ages) this is a kick starter not to be missed. Some WW1 halflings are rumoured to be making there way to the front lines if the goal is reached to join the peasants and town guard already available. The Jotnar trolls… Read more »
I remember Chris (Macrocosim Miniatures’s owner) from his days at Mantic. Glad to see his kickstarter got up, and that his minis are so characterful and great value.. ( and most importantly so dwarfy……. and where they aren’t dwarfy they are nice and Halflingy or Ogrey,,,,,,,, n’er an elf in sight phew ……bloody elves)
The ww1 halflings are now available, as well as a treeman (yep the ks has branched out, sorry), and the viking trolls and medieval Ogres (especially the cavalry) are great. Yes I am a backer, and am trying to resist the black knight and other monty python-inspired models!
Worth look even if it’s just to admire the models
Dont resist……. join the dark side! …….
Don’t resist, let your inner nerd out, you know you want to. And they are really cool. Rolo the viking is a must also.
It’s a phenomenal Kickstarter, the range of add-ons is humongous, and crazy good value. The hobby horse ogre cavalry would go great with the Monty Python dwarf knights, and the trolls are huge, real under the bridge stuff. I’m keen on the samurai and Norman dwarves myself.
So so tempted by the Halflings add-on. Don’t really want to mix up the styles of dwaves in my army, but I’m sure my KoW Dwarves would love some halfling allies, and love the retro style of the minis.
On the other hand, those Viking Dwarf berserkers are kinda cool too….
Do it…..Do it now!!!!!! They will be £1.50 each post KS!
WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those rotten. rip off, b@stards!!!!!! 1.50 pounds per miniature …….why the bare faced cheek!!!!! ……………………..(really the prices aren’t too bad are they???)
The prices are really good. And the models fantastic. Coming from a group who know their stuff, so almost guaranteed to be no problems post kick starter. This is a sure bet backing.
50 quid for 10 of the Jotnar Trolls is a ridiculous figure for models the size and quality of those. And those tanks are 15 quid or 3 for 30! Won’t be going past that in a hurry…
Ogres are a steal at 2 models for 10 or all 15 for 70! that 80 quid of the already discounted set.
And only 2000 quid more will unlock the Spartan dwarves. Who doesn’t want one of those?

With only a couple of days left and having added the WW1 models, the Macrocosm team heave added Persian Immortals and American Civil War dwarves to the Stretch goals, after the next stretch goal of Spartan Dwarves.
