Take Your Games To Orbit On Deep Cut’s New Mat
October 25, 2016 by dracs
To celebrate the launch of Dropfleet Commander, Deep Cut Studio have come out with the second of their new three part range of 4x4 space battle mats, this one placing you in the orbit of a desert planet.
This mat shows off a highly detailed orbital layout, featuring various topographical features of the world below as you and your friends fight it out high above.
This 4x4ft mat is fully compatible with Dropfleet Commander and is available in PVC, mouse mat or cloth material.
I think that this makes a pretty dramatic backdrop for some epic orbital combat. Of course, there isn't much here that might impact gameplay, but it would still be a cool and thematic setting for the game.
What sort of planetary backdrop or setting do you want Deep Cut to make for the third mat?

Need 6×4 🙂
Nice! I really think the lighter colour will make the ships pop!
deepcut do great mats and they haven’t missed a trick with getting the release of the mats inline with dropfleet.
they look good they should sell block range sets for orbital deployment games?
I kind of wonder how an actual Earth photo would look like at the kind of scale that Dropfleet uses.
Someone has to do a future earth with recognisable landmarks …
