Studio Tomahawk Preview Aetius & Arthur SAGA Supplement
October 19, 2016 by brennon
Studio Tomahawk has put together a preview for their upcoming supplement to SAGA called Aetius & Arthur where they'll be heading back into the Arthurian period for some bloody battles.
They're going to be focusing in on different aspects of the supplement over a number of articles running up to release. They will be giving us an overview of the book itself as well as more details on the chapters within.
This has been on the cards for a while and it's great to see it coming together now. The Arthurian period is one steeped in mysticism and historical battles and acts as an interesting transition between the end of the Roman occupation and the rest of the Dark Ages.
What do you think?

Oh my giddy aunt this is what I have been waiting for since Saga started and now I am well chuffed.
Time to get the Winter King out to have another listen to
I wonder how it will compare to Dux Brittanium
was thinking the same thing, have to be pretty damn good to compete with the mighty Dux… also, cracking series. personally, I think it’s some of Cornwell’s best…
I read the Stephen Lawhead Pendragon series a good while back and had a thought to go back to it sometime soon… Have either of you read them to say how Cornwell’s ones compare? I’ve never read any Cornwell, I might have to give them a go…
The cornwell ones are down and dirty and the background is a struggle between Pagan hods and Christianity. Arthur is just a Warlord and the story is told in the first person by a character called Derfel who is in the original tales about Arthur but was written out. Merlin is basically a bit of a fake and most of his magic is trickery or understanding the nature around him.
I haven’t read the Lawhead ones but it would take a lot to beat the Winter King in my view
Ahh..this is gonna be interesting 😎
This release has been on the cards for so long. Am I still excited ? YES
I’ve had a couple of Saga starter boxes sat around for a while… hopefully an upcoming trip to the lands of the Vikings will inspire me to build them through the Winter.
Working on getting my vikings together. This looks interesting.
Sweet.
I reckon my existing GB Welsh army will fit the period just fine. Bring it on!
