Someone Is About To Get Witch Slapped On Kickstarter From Prolific Games
October 19, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
With it almost being Halloween, one quick look at Witch Slapped by Prolific Games, and I knew we just had to have a look. This looks to be a fast and fun, beer and pretzel card game - in fact, I think the pub would be the perfect location!
Three to six players will face off as witches in a dark and creepy forest, fighting over the cauldron resources available. The game has a basic set collection mechanic, where players are scrambling to be the first to acquire at least 4 of a matching spell - and that's where the Witch Slapping starts.
You may only initiate the slap round if you have four or five of a spell. When that happens, you slap the four cauldron or the four/five cauldron. Once the slap round has been initiated the other witches may slap one of the remaining cauldron cards.
You may only slap a number that is equal to or less than the number of spell cards in your set. So if you have three of a spell type you can slap the one, two, or three but if you have only two you cannot slap the three. If you slap a number that you don’t have enough spell cards for you take damage equal to the number you slapped and you will not be able to cast a spell this turn. Once a number is slapped it must be taken.
Then each witch secretly chooses another witch to cast a spell at and everyone resolves their spells and the process is repeated until the last witch is standing.
This looks like an absolute blast with all of the great elements of slapjack and screw your neighbor.
Will you be the Witch Slapper or Slapee?
