A Trio Of Mechs March Out Of Raging Heroes
October 3, 2016 by dracs
Raging Heroes have released three mechs for their Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Sci-Fi range, each with a unique style befitting their respective armies.
Each of the mecha feel like they were designed with different purposes in mind, especially the Jailbirds' one, which is showing more than a little inspiration from a classic Sci-Fi movie.
Of the three, the Iron Empire mech is probably my favourite. It's a lot smoother and more high tech than the other two, but this just makes it look more disturbing.
Which of the three do you think is best?

Very nice. Jailbirds one looks like armed version of Power Loader from Aliens.
I have one mate and its just peace of robotic art. wonderful design, pleasure to paint.
I agree @mecha82 – that struck me even before I read the rest of the article. It looks like an upgunned version of the Power lifter as you say, and is it me or is the pilot’s bandanna a nod to the character of Vasquez from the movie??
Power Lifter? No, not a body building mech suit after all. That should be Power Loader, everyone’s favourite futuristic fork lift.
@lloyd this kruganova should work perfect for SSU dust. its same scale.
They really aren’t. dust models are way more bulky. I have all three raging sci fi armies an their scale is about 30mm max which matches much closer to 28mm than to whatever dust is nowadays. they fit nicely with k47 though, i use the iron empire troops as german heavies and the kurganovas as daughters of the motherland. AND the kurganova mech looks much closer to the cossack light walker than any dust walker.
there’re all really nice but I think the jail bird is my favourite.
they look great I think the jailbird mecha looks the best.
