Limited Edition Horus Heresy Novella This September
August 30, 2011 by dracs
Black Library have announced the release of Aurelian, a new limited edition Horus Heresy novella to be released this September.
Written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, only 3000 copies of this will be available to buy from 6pm(BST) on the 12th of September.
Personally I really want to get my hands on this. The cover art has just got me so intrigued that I cannot wait to read the story for myself.
So what do you guys think of this? Any of you think you'll try and get a copy? Now if you don't mind I'm off to plead at the feet of Andy, Lloyd and Warren to get a copy in the office.

Oooooh i will have to try and get a copy but the way my luck has been i prob won’t 🙁 but will try my hardest to get a copy as Aaron Dembski-Bowden is a brillant writer. His Night Lord series are amazing and First heretic was epic, just love the way he writes the Chaos legions and even makes you have sympathy for them and that they are not the straight forward traitors that the imperium makes them to be. Interesting cover, can’t make out what legion that marine belongs to, but from the weapon i would say he… Read more »
Hmm, more Horus Heresy…I much prefer my Time of Legends and Warhammer novels, but I did try some of the 40k novels and liked one of them. Much prefer the graphic novels from the 40k Universe, BloodQuest for example…awesome.
Maybe if you let them cut your hair they’ll get you a shiny copy.
NO ONE TOUCHES THE DO!
To be honest despite my general hatred towards Lorgar I think I’m gonna pick this up. Just got done with the night Lords books and really enjoying ADB’s writing.
@dalekseth based on the name of the book my guess is that guy is either Lorgar himself or at the very least one of the Word bearers.
Ouch £30 quid for a novel, I dunno if i can spare that amount for just a book, as money for me is extremely tight, really gonna have to think about this.
A limited edition novella that “will not be printed anywhere else for at least two years.”
Flaming nonsense and that’s not the word that first came to mind
I was really excited when I first read the post, then I saw it was £30, and I’m still in shock, £30 for a 128 page novella, what a joke
“Never judge a book by its cover” ok then. The cover looks good but it might not be. Didn’t say anything about judging a book by the amount of pages and its cost, 128 pages and £30. Who do you think you are?! Spike Milligan?!
Am I the only one that thinks limited releases on overpriced books equals bad business strategy? At best you only sell 3000 copies at $50 bucks each… At worst, you piss off the fans by preventing them from getting their hands on the latest installment, and make them wait another 6 months for the next opportunity. GW is really getting on my nerves more and more.
N you are not the only one. I’ve bought every Horas Heresy book so far and upon reading this I just got a little annoyed. I like to just go into a shop with no pressure on time and casually get what I am looking for and not to find out that its sold out, or whatever.
I have better things to do other than waiting in queues or pre booking something that is going to ne a limited edition
