Fight For Prehistoric Survival In Cretacea Now On Kickstarter
September 19, 2016 by stvitusdancern
There is a very interesting Kickstarter campaign right now called Cretacea: The Game of Gargantuan Survival by EZPainter. In this game, you play dinosaurs and fight for survival.
This is a 10mm skirmish game, where you have approximately two to three miniatures a side and can be played in 35-40 minutes. As in life, there are only two sides to pick from herbivores or predators are you going to be a lumbering giant looking to find a safe area to live out your days or are you going to be an ever hungry predator .
The creators of the rules say that they got a lot of their inspiration from documentaries and how animals interact in the wild. While I understand this game may not be everyone's cup of tea, there are quite a few of us who love dinosaurs and anything to do with them.
I can see this being a game you play with some kids who love any dinosaurs and have seen the Jurassic Park movies, so they understand how dinosaurs can really be like. The Kickstarter is already very well funded and has about 5 days to go at the time of writing. T
his could be a nice distraction from some of the heavy games out there and the investment is very low since it is only for the rules and some tokens at a certain level, so I would suggest you give it a go and see if you like walking like a dinosaur (not associated with the Kickstarter in any way).
Can you survive as a dinosaur?

Now, there’s something you don’t see every day.
I’m a little bit of a dino-nut, but I’d totally missed this one, so thanks for posting it – backed!
Even more for @warzan and the jurassic zoo 😀 not ‘saurus’ zoo ha ha!
@warzan some cows and pigs and you are set to go.
This is such a great idea! Backed.
Actually £6 for a UK company to post a book to the UK? No thanks.
Only two sides? Can’t we be on Team Omnivore?
;p
And as someone else said above, these would be handy for the dino zoo @warzan has mentioned on a couple of weekenders.
