Create Operation Market Garden Tabletops With Sarissa’s Bridges
September 16, 2016 by brennon
Sarissa Precision have added some new bridges to their collection for you to use in your Operation Market Garden games set during World War II. The anniversary of this Operation actually falls over this weekend!
Creating the first obstacles for your heroes to attack we have the Canal Bridge. Bridges have always made for exciting battles where both sides are pushing to control vital lifelines for their armies.
The bridge does also come with the ability to tilt so you can actually do this during your games when the Defenders get to their positions and try and trap the attackers on the other side.
No Cover Sir!
Following on from this Canal Bridge we also have Son Bridge which did feature in Operation Market Garden.
Once again this actually turns ninety degrees allowing you to cut off your foes from their support. This one looks like it has even less cover to benefit from too.
You can learn more about this particular bridge HERE.
Floating Bridges
Last but not least we have the Bailey Bridge which is used to bridge numerous gaps across rivers and comes with boats underneath to keep it on the level.
This is a stalwart piece of kit and helpful for getting your armour across impassable terrain so that it can fight in battles further down the road.
So there you have it. Three new bridges for you to add to your collection to help build up your Operation Market Garden battlefields.
Which will you be picking up?

Very nice – but I want them in 15mm as well 🙂
Just thinking the same thing
they look great the bailey bridge is a must for any game with water to cross.
how creepy, just this second finished watching A Bridge Too Far for the umpteenth time before thinking to myself that I should revisit my Irish Guards with the release of Bolt Action 2.0, log into BoW n this creeps up, and all just a few weeks before my birthday… The dice gods work in mysterious ways…
I am in the same boat!
I am looking a Sarissa Precision more and more for expanding my terrain. I haven’t really worked with MDF before but the price seems pretty good for the quality and time saved not having to scratch build. If I really like it, I might think about investing in a cheap airbrush finally to speed up my painting.
I like the Baily bridge the most out of the lot as I think I could get the most use out of it, but that is so far down the list of terrain items I would like to have at the moment.
The canal bridge looks really nice…. but no dimensions on the Sarissa page for it. In the market to get a decent modernish bridge but everything I’ve seen is not wide enough for 2 lanes of traffic. Might have to scratch build
That’s a perfect copy of the real thing that was destroyed today … (if the year had been 1944 … )
