Knights Of Dice Lay The Foundations For Your New City
September 15, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Knights of Dice have added some great new 28mm pieces today to change up the look and feel of your cityscapes.
Their new City Foundation pieces offer a natural way to add some height and levels to your table while maintaining a relatively compact space. There are various heights available as well as stairs and a nice overpass to bridge things together.
I love the fact that pieces like this can sit nicely in a variety of gaming styles too, so replayability will be easy.
Will you be taking your city to the next level with these new Foundations?

Just when I thought I had my cityscape board totally planned! These look great for adding interest to any skirmish level game. They would also give somewhere to hide the cables when adding the lighting rig.
Wow. The levels of detail in laser cut terrain now is fantastic. I love the twin dragons on the wall next to the entrance. Perfect for a curio shop or a dojo. Now I just need to create a Big Trouble In Little China or 70’s Kung Fu miniatures game to use it with.
@spaderfish Osprey has you covered!

Thanks mate.
Very nice, other than the obvious Batman can see these being useful for Carnevale, Malifaux or Mordheim making an easy way to raise buildings up to make a canal system between them.
What would look nice is if you opened up the side in one (or two to get the right height) so that you could put it at the end of a road running between two stacks of these to represent the mouth of a tunnel/underpass.
I have to admit when I saw them on the weekender I was absolutely blown away by this line.
As always excellent job Vivek and team.
Loving this ides Most tables I see achieve height differences through blobs of hill, walkways and balconies/rooftops. Having whole sections of the board at different levels is an idea I like a lot. The flexibility to create crowns (built up middle), cauldrons (built up edges) and slopes (gradiated along one dimension) adds a lot more variability.
These guys are coming up with some fantastic terrain. I wish they’d get a US based distributor in their mix. The only thing that keeps me from going off the deep end on their product line is shipping … and they really do seem to be trying to work with customers on that (they have a 40% off discount on international shipping going right now). Anyway they have a full range of cool terrain going!
Batman, Twisted, Infamy, Purgatory. These would work with any of them. Awesome detail and a brilliant idea for changing up a table.
Thinking about it you could probably even squeeze them into 40k considering the variety of world within the Imperium.
Very true, few Imperial Eagles and pipes around the place and you’ve got an up-market plaza or estate in some Hive Spire that’s become a battlefield.
Or if you buy a couple of those bags of 100 skulls you can get on eBay, you could fill some of the arches with them and it’d look like a GW made piece 😉
Looks great perfect for a Venice type of scene
It’s such a simple idea and easy to work with other parts of terrain. I can see myself with some or at least taking a page from them and make my own yet not as nice foundations.
These and rest of the Knights of Dice line look really nice.
Does anyone know if they have a reseller in Europe? The shipping for couple of buildings is almost as much as the subtotal price.
