We're zoning in on some more of your awesome hobbying in the Forums today with another Community Spotlight. This time, we're embracing a little bit of the Historical, looking a massive Tau Walkers and then devoting ourselves to the Chaos Gods.

So, let's get stuck in and find out what you've been up to this week.

1920's Gangsters By panzerkaput

If you're looking to shakedown your local town businesses then you can't go too far wrong with some 1920's Gangsters. It's neat to see a big gang of them all in one place with a variety of guns ready to use at a moments notice.

The painting here is great and gives you a real flavour of the kind of styles you would have seen on the streets during this period of history. There's even a few women in the mix too.

Anyone who has seen the second series of Fargo will know that women within these organisations are not to be messed with! It's neat to see the models presented on this background too and it has us wanting to try out Chicago Way!

Tau Riptide By andz

Tau models from Warhammer 40,000 are always a source of exciting painting styles and this Riptide is no different from andz. Embracing that clean 'anime' feel we have some astoundingly good Riptide Battlesuits.

The contrast here between the almost slate grey and the brighter orange is what sets this model apart. Plenty of work has gone into making the armour look realistic and the spot colours of orange have been used just enough so that they don't overpower the scheme.

The spots of dirty and grime across the back of the model make it look used too which is always something you want from your models that hit the battlefield. The base work too situates the model within a nice setting and matches the scheme too.

Janus The Thrice Gifted, Dark Elf Follower Of Slaanesh By piers

Last but not least we're going old school as we check out Jace The Thrice Gifted who has a distinctly Oldhammer look to him. I really like the contrast here between the dark leather and the bright blue skin which works so well for a follower of Slaanesh.

The little splash of pink on the model also helps tie the model to his patron God since it is one of its favoured colour. A nice bit of simple dull metal work on the blades and the armour is all that's needed to bring out more of the details on the model.

A nod indeed must go to the work on the facial details bringing out the cheeks and the ridges along his snake-like neck. A great emphasis on detail!

Get Painting!

That's the awesome painting picks from the forum for this week. As always remember to get painting and hobbying and we'll have more picks for you next week.
