Tre Games Inc. Set Sail In A 28mm Viking Longship
September 13, 2016 by brennon
Tre Games have produced a wonderful looking Viking Longship for you to use in your 28mm wargaming. Would you like to set sail aboard this ship?
The overall look of the boat has a slightly more stylised look to it which might take it beyond the realms of History and into Fantasy instead. I could see this being in the frozen dockyard of Frostgrave.
The prow of the ship is fantastically realised too and I like the dragon design. According to their webstore it is quite a challenging build for hobbyists. However, there should be a helpful guide at some point appearing on their website.
What do you think of this particular build?

I like the work on the prow, except for the head itself. I’d be tempted to swap in a dragon head bit from somewhere, and putty it to fit. I like the model, though.
That is very nice long boat.
Seems a bit short for a longboat..but okay for a gaming piece I suppose.
And to be honest the dragon’s head is too fantasy for my taste and my Saga Vikings.
Still, with good price tag worth considering. The prow is really well done..
Ok 50USD sounds affordable.. but for now my Vikings will keep their trusty old Revell boat I bought for a tenner at eBay 😉
looks good love the carving’s in the neck.
Very cool. The $50.00 price point seems a bit steep … BUT … from what they list it as … 14 inches in length I think it is quite a bit larger than anything billed as 28MM in scale that is on the market currently. Anyone else know of similar sized craft at a lower price out there?
I’ve been meaning to grab 3-4 longships at some point … this might be the one that takes my cash. Nice model!
